Student gets diploma after controversy erupts over wearing Mexican flag at graduation

A high school student from North Carolina said that he was denied his diploma after draping a Mexican flag over his graduation gown.on Monday four days after it was denied to him during his commencement ceremony because he wore a Mexican flag over his gown.

Asheboro City Schools officials released a statement Monday, saying,"The graduate picked up his diploma at Asheboro High School ... As with all graduates, we wish him well and we will continue to serve our community in ways that help all young people meet their full potential." “We came here on Thursday with so much pride and ready to get the diploma of my son.
