The tropical storm named Laura has strengthened to a hurricane that is expected to become a major storm by the time it hits the coasts of Upper Texas and Southwest Louisiana on Wednesday night, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory on
Tuesday. Laura is packing winds of 75 miles an hour and is about 145 miles northwest of the Western tip of Cuba."Significant strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Laura is expected to be a major hurricane at landfall," said the advisory.
People say this is not the same place it once was. But it is — and that's the problem. Decades of the same frustration.
