The body of a 19-year-old found dead in the middle of a South Carolina road in 2015 will be exhumed, his family announced last week, almost two years after state authorities reopened a probe into his death based on information learned while investigating the murders of Margaret “Maggie” Murdaugh and Paul Murdaugh. The family of Stephen Smith has raised about $60,000 to put towards the exhumation and a private autopsy in what his mother described on a GoFundMe page as a “fight for justice.

, announced it was reopening the Smith investigation due to information gleaned from the Murdaugh case. did not detail what that information was. “ has made progress in the death investigation of Stephen Smith,” the agency said in a statement to CNN Sunday, “however this investigation remains active and ongoing.” The body of the 19-year-old nursing student was discovered on July 8, 2015. An incident report from the state highway patrol indicated he suffered blunt force trauma to the head, and his death was initially deemed a hit and run.

report states Smith appeared to have been hit by a vehicle, the responding officer referenced in a report by the state highway patrol’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team noted “no vehicle debris, skid marks, or injuries consistent with someone being struck by a vehicle.” Smith’s shoes were also both on and loosely tied, the report added, and investigators saw no evidence suggesting he was struck by a vehicle.

Hope SLED_SC will subpoena Verizon for Buster's texts and calls in the days surrounding that incident.

Police should also look into the death of the nanny who supposily fell down the stairs. I'm almost certain she was murdered as well, cause why in the hell would he have such a large insurance policy on his nanny that the family never saw. He is definitely a killer.

Excellent update!

This poor family. Hope that they will get some answers.

CNN will lie about DeSantis. That is true. So if they repeat these lies long enough - you might be right. Thankfully, only a few dozen Americans watch CNN.

Wow! Prayers to his family.

9 Republicans pull support from South Carolina bill allowing the death penalty for abortionNine South Carolina Republicans who had co-sponsored one of the most severe anti-abortion proposals in the country have since withdrawn their support. Shining light on these kind of plans usually results in them withering on the vine - this is good - now let’s keep shining the light on all the rest and the Supreme Court! That this bill was even introduced only reinforces how the Republicans are not the party of, or for, sane adults. And, as always, the only one facing consequences is the woman, or girl. I'm pro choice. It's too bad I can no longer vote to fight for women's rights without it being a vote for men playing in women's sports and using their restrooms. Kind of a strange turn of events...

South Carolina school district disputes student's claims in Pledge of Allegiance lawsuitLexington School District 1 has responded to River Bluff High School student Marissa Barnwell's lawsuit about saying the Pledge of Allegiance at school, citing surveillance video. More whining from this bunch. My grandparents immigrated to the US, they swore to uphold the laws of our country. They were the proudest Americans to ever live. They came from Socialist/Communist countries. Our children are being taught to hate our country, and illegals have no respect. They r free to leave. Guess it’s one way to get reparations.
