Stephen King calls for Susan Collins' ouster from the Senate following impeachment trial

"Whitewash. Shameful," King tweeted on Saturday, referring to the impeachment trial. He then went on to predict that Collins would vote to acquit the president along with her Republican colleagues, calling for her to be voted out of office as she faces re-election this year.

Murkowski had previously suggested that she would consider voting with Democrats to call for additional witnesses, but inevitably sided with her Republican colleagues against the measure. Democrats needed at least four GOP lawmakers to side with them in order for the vote to pass with a simple majority of 51 to 47 in the Republican-controlled Senate.

I like his books and movies but his political views do not influence me one way or another.

Maybe she’ll end up in one of his books, which could be unpleasant.

Stephen King is a genius in writing and creating films but he is clueless about the rule of law ! Susan Collins has followed the law even when its been detrimental to her political future! Billionaire bullies shouldn’t be able to influence our elections or news networks either.

Dear Mainers: Susan Collins made a deal with Mitch McConnell to allow her to vote yes on witnesses in order to keep her U.S. Senate seat. Please don’t fall for it. Don’t send send her back to Washington.

Collins is in an impossible situation, if she votes to convict she will lose to a primary challenger, if she votes to acquit she loses in the general. Her best play now is to vote to convict and switch parties. It's her only play now to survive politically.

Why because she disagrees with him
