Stellantis plans to have 75 battery-electric nameplates in its range by 2030. The firm's flexible platforms allow it to shift strategy to better suit the needs of its customers. Stellantis currently sells the three best-selling plug-in hybrids in the U.S. Stellantis has revealed it can offer its future battery- electric vehicles with combustion engines if this is what consumers want. This could start with the upcoming Jeep Wagoneer S.
“This is a great opportunity for us, compared to our peers, having the multi-energy platforms for all of our products in development and having the agility to move between them.” According to Knight, Stellantis wants to cater to consumer demands while also sending a message to the market about its electrification strategy. Of the 25 new vehicles the company will launch this year, 18 will initially be sold as BEVs.
