Stefon Diggs offered his first public comments on Monday in the aftermath of his sideline outburst during the Bills’s 27–10 divisional loss to the Bengals and reported early exit from Highmark Stadium after the game:

added a third and final tweet

addressing the criticism he’s received for his actions. “It’s easy to criticize my reaction more than the result,” he wrote. The Bills’ bitter loss marked a disappointing finish to a promising 13–3 campaign as the team struggled in all three phases en route to their lowest-scoring game of the season. The Bengals defense wreaked havoc on Allen all game, limiting him to a 25-of-42 day for 265 passing yards with one interception. Diggs saw a team-high 10 targets in the contest but hauled in only four receptions for 35 yards.

Following the loss, Allen discussed his interaction with Diggs and chalked the moment up as the product of the wideout’s competitiveness and needing to improve the offense. The incident occurred after a turnover on downs on Buffalo’s second-to-last drive of the game following an Allen incompletion to receiver Gabriel Davis at the Bengals’ 16-yard line.. “He wants the ball. Whatever it was that we couldn’t get him the ball tonight, we’re going to have to learn from.

Since acquiring Diggs from the Vikings three years ago, Buffalo has posted three straight 11-plus win seasons with a trifecta of AFC East titles but has yet to reach a Super Bowl. With Sunday’s loss, the club has now logged back-to-back divisional round exits since losing to the Chiefs in the 2020 AFC championship game.

stefondiggs Obviously he is not a team player.

stefondiggs They may not be best buds anymore

stefondiggs You’re a Captain and supposedly a grownup. Yet you get angry and upset and run away from your teammates? Nah

stefondiggs Only one positive. Now he can watch the games with his brother.

stefondiggs It wouldn’t be a big game without a WR acting like a petulant child. A time honored nfl tradition

stefondiggs Your QB is Cam without the scarfs

theMMQB stefondiggs He’s a shite teammate. End of story. Run away, little man.

stefondiggs Joining cowboys with his brother confirmed

stefondiggs he needs to grow up if he blames his shitty behavior on a passion to win.

theMMQB stefondiggs His spoiled brat act has gotten so old

stefondiggs You probably wish he could’ve handled this a little better. But I’ll take this over laughing and smiling on the sidelines when you’re getting smashed by the other team. I like seeing passion. I want to see how much it matters. Everybody should be pissed.

stefondiggs I didn’t like that allen ignored him

stefondiggs He’s still watchin

theMMQB stefondiggs Fine. Do it in the locker room or the meeting room, NOT in public or through the media.

stefondiggs I’m here for all of this FinsUp

stefondiggs They need to invest in their def. As much as Allen needs to tighten up his game, can’t keep blaming him. The dude plays QB1 & RB1 for that team.
