It’s a story playing out from coast to coast: Thanks to generous federal relief funds, a rebound in consumer spending and stock market gains, state and local governments that had predicted economic calamity are now finding themselves flush with cash.

ABC News' Elizabeth Schulze reports on what state and local governments across the country are doing to utilize their budget surpluses from federal COVID-19 relief funds.When the pandemic hit Alexandria, Virginia, the economic outlook was bleak.

Oh no! State and local governments will be able to pay for services to help their residents. They'll be able to pay their bills! Typical ploy of the democrats to help people!
