A State Department official declined to say why Linick was fired. But he documented alleged political retaliation within the State Department and he was tangentially involved in the impeachment battle over President Donald Trump's dealings with Ukraine.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration fired the State Department's watchdog late Friday evening, ousting a career investigator who had uncovered alleged political bias at the agency.

In Friday's move, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo fired the agency's inspector general, Steve Linick, who was appointed in 2013 during the Obama administration after serving other senior roles in the U.S. government. Akard has served in other State Department roles, including as a political officer at the U.S. embassy in Brussels. He worked as an economic adviser for Pence, when the now-vice president was Indiana's chief executive.

So funny watching everyone lose it when anyone in the government is fired. Always a conspiracy. Always retaliation. Cry wolf one more time. Don’t you realize that he might not be the best person for that job, or that he no longer fits or, god forbid, isn’t competent.

He got fired for mishandling senesetove info. Bye bye..

There are shenanigans behind the scenes

The traitor does not want opposites, every day he gets up thinking who he is going to f..k with.

Good riddance

Of course. Obama mole. Trump should've required ALL Obama appointees their 'courtesy resignations' upon assumption of office. Something his advisers forgot,.

0scar1709 Is there no accountability

Plant a smile on Pompeo's face and he'll do anything you want.

Guilty of not paying required “lip service” to Donald’s butt cheeks

The lawsuits & payouts that will result from this administration are going to be staggering.

The decimation continues. The GOP is still fine with it. The United States of America's position as the leader of the Free World, or even as one of its members, is at stake in November. That's no exaggeration.

Another normal day in the State Department of this banana country. Another IG fired.

The election isn't just Republican vs Democrat. It's autocracy vs democracy.

He was appointed by Obama. Thats enough.
