rhscsmtms I use to be a weekend manager for Ronald McDonald House in Dallas. Every night a local bakery would donate all their unsold bread. Pick up around 10 PM. Many nights we had hot, fresh bread parties with our guests & a volunteer would play classical piano. Great memories! ❤️

RIIIIGHT....

corwin_quinton That was a long time coming.

Thank you ❤️

About damn time. Whole foods told me they by law have to throw out all left over cooked preps, produce fruit witb blemishes a little off in spots. Yes evil evil stupid country. Such waste .

In Colorado this will help. Schools giving 2 free meals to anyone 25 and younger.

Every store should do this! Every store should donate unsold food kroger HEB RalphsGrocery Albertsons

This is great. It was even greater when many (most? all?) stores were already doing it, for years. Until a few months ago (yes, mid-pandemic) when corporate made them stop and instead ship all unused products back to the warehouse to be destroyed, leaving senior homes and

That is great! So many out there that need it. I wish more food companies would do it.

BrittanyNoble_ Oh good, now hungry people will be set for stale pumpkin spice scones.

PattyArquette Are they expanding it? Starbucks has been having the unsold food going to Feed America for over 2yrs. Donations were picked up from my cafe every night.

PattyArquette Great, lovely…figs on a sandwich….I’ll donate funds for no further figs on a sandwich…please lord no figs on a sandwich…

It took them 40 years to do this

About damn time. More should do this to cut the excessive waste we have globally endhunger

Anyway they can package it without plastic?

Long time coming to your senses eh Starbucks but better late than never, too. 🙃

that's good, i hope they will do it regularly

Isnt most of their shit frozen anways. Y'all act like they have a kitchen

this is terrible news

Good job Starbucks it will come back to you..

Nice, brother never give up...

Great, US has so many homelessness people in the world... This will help them..

What took so long?

Or we could have an effective corporate tax system, and then we wouldn't need to rely on their marketing department to direct efforts to feed hungry Americans.

Why did it take decades to do the right thing, why are so many companies intent on continuing extreme waste supposedly just to preserve profits, we need a system that puts people before profits

Its about time! I was at a Starbucks years ago late and they were just throwing away food and i suggested they do this and the workers told me they couldn't!

New technology propels efforts to fight Western wildfiresSACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — As drought- and wind-driven wildfires have become more dangerous across the American West in recent years, firefighters have tried to become smarter in how they prepare. They’re using new technology and better positioning of resources in a bid to keep small blazes from erupting into mega-fires like the ones that torched a record 4% of California last year, or the nation’s biggest wildfire this year that has charred a section of Oregon half the size of Rhode Island. so they are trowing money at the fire. Got IT. not that intelligent. I SEE this is terrible news don’t forget the anti-drone measures…
