After the events of Star Wars Celebration 2023, there have been more details about the timeline following the Rebel victory in Return of the Jedi. Many shows and films have explored the time period, but there are still a number of gaps, despite the galaxy expanding. The Star Wars timeline before the original trilogy is becoming more and more detailed, with different projects like Andor overlapping with shows like Star Wars Rebels.
The last scene of the series had Sabine explain that she was going off to find Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger after he had been lost in the unknown regions with Grand Admiral Thrawn. The scene also saw the return of Ahsoka Tano, who had been mostly absent in Rebels since the season 2 finale. For a while, it seemed this scene would be where the upcoming Ahsoka series would pick up, but after the Ahsoka trailer debuted, this may not be the case.
The Book of Boba Fett: 11 ABY Having The Book of Boba Fett take place over the course of a year allows the story to breath. Because of Boba Fett and Fennec Shan’s takeover of Mos Espa, it would make sense that it took rivals like the Pykes or the Hutt Twins time to properly plan retaliation. Additionally, the series occurring over about a year make it easier to explain how much Grogu’s Jedi powers evolved.
Dave Filoni’s Untitled Film Announced at the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni will be directing a film that will finish out the “Mandoverse” of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and The Book of Boba Fett. There are no details on when this film will debut, or if any of the Disney+ shows will get more seasons.
