The upcoming Star Wars series, The Acolyte, will feature a powerful Jedi character inspired by Trinity from The Matrix. Set in the final days of the High Republic era, the show will explore shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers. Leslye Headland, the writer and showrunner, aims to create a character that immediately exudes power and dominance.

noted that the character of Trinity is immediately identifiable as a powerful individual, which was a characteristic that she wanted Indara to have in

“She is very much inspired by Trinity,” Headland stated. “I personally wanted to see someone who had the highest status you could imagine in a Force-fu fight — somebody that would come in and you immediately would be like, ‘Oh, that’s the most powerful Jedi in the room.’ And that’s Trinity.” The Acolyte is described as a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers that will be set within the final days of the High Republic era. In addition to The Acolyte, Lucasfilm is also working on several other Star Wars projects, including shows like Skeleton Crew, Andor Season 2, and Ahsoka Season 2.Star Wars: The Acolyte is written and executive produced by Leslye Headland , who also serves as the showrunner.
