Streaming June 4th with a two-episode premiere, The Acolyte is coming from showrunner Leslye Headland, the first live-action project set in the age of life and light that was The High Republic. As indicated by the trailer, a mysterious assassin is being investigated for a murder spree, prompting an entire team of Jedi Knights to investigate. However, they are soon set upon a red lightsaber-wielding warrior who is more than likely a Sith.

The Acolyte's Trailer Sets Up The Ultimate Jedi Versus Sith Showdown Jedi Investigating As The Sith's Darkness Is Rising As seen by the trailer's end, multiple Jedi ignite their lightsabers in the face of a dark warrior wielding the red lightsaber of the Sith. While their face is kept off-screen in this new trailer, their power in the dark side is on full display.
