Some fall to the dark side, but some simply become disillusioned with the Jedi’s ideals or decide to prioritize other commitments.
The Lost Twenty do not seem to be regarded with malice by the Jedi. Instead, they seem to be representative of the Jedi’s desire to use them as examples. The Lost Twenty were used to show that no Jedi is exempt from having doubts and that without true devotion to the Order and the Code, those doubts could bring down even very highly trained Jedi Masters.
Bulq committed himself fully to Dooku’s cause, and his once-impressive legacy within the Jedi became one of disappointment and treachery. Eventually, he meets Hera Syndulla and finds his way into the Rebellion, where he meets Ezra Bridger. Reconnecting with his Jedi past, he takes Ezra on as his Padawan. This brings Kanan full circle, allowing him to once again feel like the Jedi he was meant to be.
Ben Solo/Kylo Ren The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben was manipulated by Palpatine through the Force for most of his life, influenced toward the dark side of the Force. A misstep by Luke Skywalker ultimately left Ben feeling he had no choice but to embrace the dark side, and he became Kylo Ren, a key figure in the First Order. Kylo Ren's heart remained deeply divided, however, even after he ascended to become Supreme Leader of the First Order.
The betrayal sparked the Jedi Civil War, and the Republic was nearly destroyed by Revan. The Jedi trapped Revan, pulling them from the wreckage as they clung to life. In Revan's weakened state, the Jedi used meditation to free their mind from the dark side. After healing and choosing the redemption offered to them, Revan became a Jedi Knight once again. They defeated Malak and destroyed the Sith for the time being, firmly ending the bloody war.
When she was cleared of her charges and given the opportunity to rejoin the Jedi, Ahsoka refused. She continued helping and protecting the galaxy in her own way, true to her Jedi roots. She survived Order 66, becoming a crucial tool for the Rebel Alliance and the fight against the Empire.
