George Papadopoulos on his time in prison: Standing ovations and ‘street cred’ in ‘Trump Country’

By Reis Thebault Reis Thebault National and breaking news reporter Email Bio Follow March 27 at 8:38 PM George Papadopoulos was headed to prison — and he was scared.

In his telling, Papadopoulos arrived at the facility by car and dashed inside, trying to avoid camera crews and photographers looking for a perp-walk visual. Inside, he got a warm welcome. In an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber this week, Papadopoulos claimed his association with Trump and his rabble-rousing about the charges leveled against him gave him “street cred” at the prison.

Stupid stuff. Why Not talk about the farmers who lost so much, because of the rain. Show pictures of that...

Didn’t he go to jail for lying? Something tells me he may not be completely honest.

this is how criminals behave

Standing ovations from the law-and -order crowd for a convicted criminal.

I like two sugars and whole milk, thanks.

Glad he enjoyed it. Maybe he can go back soon.

🤢

God has plans for him .

Let’s send him back for another round

Has this been verified? He is a convicted liar by the way.

He may never have a good job again. He was working in a respectable Think Tank when he went to work for Trump with no pay. He's pretty much destroyed. At least in the old days fellon's weren't hired. Maybe that's changed now though.

The coffee boy? Huh

why is it surprising that white-collar criminals in for financial crimes be Trump fans....he's probably their hero - becuz, so far, he has gotten away with it...

Does that mean he experiences Man-Love on his 14 day vacation?

Prison is Trump country? Wow that’s something to brag about Quido lol!

Oh wow. Maybe he can now rap about his experience.

Does that make tRump country communists comrade Russia lovers?

Wannabe.

Gee, there’s a base of supporters everyone should want.

Probably because those incarcerated relate real well to him & Trump

That sounds right to me; prison is “trump country”. trump says, “These are my people!” And as it turns out, prison is where many of his adviser ended up.

Common Courtesy between Common Criminals

Hard to believe this guy got busted for lying.

Anyone wasting a breath(starting after tweet for me)on GeorgeP is wasting that precious breath.

Says the convicted liar

madafaka...let see who will hire him...

Like your boss , just a common criminal, cheered by more “great people “ just a load of who cares..

Odd thing to do for a “rat”.

So let me get this straight, prison is 'Trump Country?' 😂😆🤣

Here the 'Russian spy' he was 'linked to' hanging out with the British Foreign Secretary. Way to investigate, WaPo.

I rather doubt they'll use his prison life story as a basis for a sequel to the Shawshank Redemption.

I'm dying for a journalist to interview someone who was in prison with George and confirm or deny this story.

Damn right even prisoners know what the media and Democrats are doing is wrong.

Does anyone in Trumpworld ever tell the truth?

As he took it in the butt.

Is a Presidential pardon an icing on that street crUd?

'Trump Country'

Yeah, and his wife is “Italian”. 🤨

So white collar prisoners who are in for fraud, embezzlement, tax evasion...love the Rat King Side note- how hysterical is it when a squishy snowflake like Poppaluffugus says “street cred” like he is straighy outta Compton?

STANDING OVATIONS & STRETCH CRED IN TRUMP COUNTRY?GEORGE WAS IN PRISON'TRUMP COUNTRY'? PRICELESS JUST PRICELESS & TRUE !HOPEFULLY TRUMPS WILL BE IN TRUMP COUNTRY 'SOON'

Maybe he should go back to his peeps in prison.

Prison is Trump Country. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Perfect!

The criminals president

Sorry Georgie. That wasn’t a standing ovation. They were lining up to meet the new bride.

These people are so dumb they brag about Trump's popularity in prison.

So prison is Trump country? Ok got it! 👌

Well hopefully he will be sent back real soon. He apparently likes it there.

If there is a God; He heard and a NYC detention center will be in his future

Prison is Trump Country? Big surprise.

Idiocy, and yet this shit does get old.. . Prison is TrumpCountry, who knew?

Also, the word 'felon' follows his name.

As they were bending him over like Ned Beatty...

He was appalling on his interviews. You could see that he was lying. I doubt that any inmates cheered for this little troll.

Tell Trump, he will want to go in to get the attention.

🤮🤮🤮

Douche doesn't fall far from the tree with this one.

and then they all clapped.

Yes, lots of Trump supporters in jail lol

Get back there then

prison is Trump Country?

Politician Votes Against Access to Pads and Tampons in Prison Because It’s Not ‘a Country Club’Richard Pickett said incarcerated women shouldn't get free menstrual products. But basic medical care isn't a perk—it's a human right. Yeah, bc who knows what type of country club shenanigans they'll get up to if we give them tampons! 😱 Hey, if the state or feds incarcerate someone, it's on them to provide necessary services to the inmate. Or would that result in costs to the private prison industrial complex? I didn’t realize tampons were an elitist thing. Maybe Jared has some.
