St. Paul’s Senior Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to mark the official reopening of the Manor on Bankers Hill, a senior living building that recently underwent a $20 million renovation. The Manor, which opened in 1960 and has 135 apartments, is largely home to senior residents who are middle income.
'This project is the first step of many, but we're committing to develop out more affordable housing in the community to make it so that seniors can stay in Bankers Hill and enjoy their senior years here,' McHale said. Mayor Todd Gloria said updating decades-old buildings like The Manor is just one part of the effort to improve housing availability in the city. 'The market provides well for people with high means,' Gloria said.
