Victor Wembanyama 's first career All-NBA mention will have to wait. The stupendous Spurs rookie did not make any of the three All-NBA teams announced by the league on Wednesday. The NBA's reigning Rookie of the Year and runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year was considered a long shot to hear his name called. No rookie has garnered All-NBA honors since Tim Duncan in 1998.
The second team consisted of New York's Jalen Brunson, the Los Angeles' Lakers' Anthony Davis, Phoenix's Kevin Durant, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards and the Los Angeles Clippers' Kawhi Leonard. The third team was made up of Phoenix's Devin Booker, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton, the Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James and Sacramento's Domantas Sabonis.
