Sphere in Vegas transforms into massive baseball for World Series

in Las Vegas, which is fitted with 1.2 million LEDs that can be programmed to display almost anything, has transformed for the World Series.

The futuristic entertainment venue currently looks like a big baseball sitting off the Las Vegas Strip, just in time for Game 1 of the World Series. The visuals projected on the Sphere are almost unbelievable and completely realistic. Tourists and air travelers have also seen the orb light up with the likeness of the Earth or Moon, bouncing basketballs and art designs.

The Sphere is the most expensive entertainment venue built in Las Vegas, eclipsing the approximately $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium sports facility that opened in 2020.Diamondbacks make roster change, release starting lineup ahead of Game 1 of the World Series from 12News lets users stream live events — including daily newscasts like"Today in AZ" and"12 News" and our daily lifestyle program,"Arizona Midday"—on Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
