SEOUL - South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday that Japan should look back upon its imperialist past but Seoul will “gladly join hands” if Tokyo chooses dialogue, in a carefully choreographed message amid an escalating history and trade row.
Moon warned the global free trade order may suffer if a country “weaponizes” a sector where it has an upper edge, referring to curbs Japan has imposed on exports of some high-tech materials to South Korea. “Better late than never: if Japan chooses the path of dialogue and cooperation, we will gladly join hands,” Moon said.
Come with a proposal of begging forgiveness, Moon Jae-In. Small country like South Korea should obey what Japan tells you. Not the reverse. You are not open to dialogue as you don't have the compensation idea of breaking the treaty and agreement.
Unfortunately It seems not a few Japanese think it's better to keep distant with each other. I think this way of thinking can be reasonable: The more we take distance from each other, the less we both have to take hostile attitude, and then we can rebuild our relationship.
