Despite 25 years of democracy, South Africa remains the most economically unequal country in the world, according to the World Bank

More than two decades have passed since South Africa overhauled a racist regime designed to keep the country's black population under the thumb of an elite white minority.

But while democracy has delivered freedom for all South Africans, not enough has changed for those living in the country's vast townships. In fact, despite 25 years of democracy, South Africa remains the most economically unequal country in the world, according to the World Bank. If anything, the rainbow nation is even more divided now than it was in 1994.In South Africa, the divide between rich and poor is visible from the sky.

Also South Africa is committing genocide against white people

Blood diamonds

It’s no mystery; they simply exchanged a competent racist tyranny for an incompetent racist tyranny

Democracy does not constitute equality.

Some slight foreign influences going on there.

Lucky that the whites are still with them less they would've become a failed state.

They can kill all the white farmers they think they can, but it’s not going to get you anywhere, ok?

Despite 230 years of socialism, it remains the most economically unequal system in the world.

What would Nelson Mandela think?

What a shameful contrast. It reflects on both factions.

Yeah but the black population is fixing that as we speak. By killing every white person in South Africa.

To destroy is easy but to build for good is very difficult.

The dirty side tends to rape and murder/ boil alive the nicer side. I wouldn't share much either

ak_tshabalala How many years did it take to cause this?surely not 25 years.

South Africa is successful because of white people. Any country with even 10% of white people is a damn good country. Look at Africa in general, wars, starvations, diseases, slavery, lynching they are all fucked up. Black People are not very good governing. Even here in USA.

All forms of government are susceptible to corruption and incompetence, democracies, dictatorships, monarchies, etc.

Who do we blame now?

Yeah, the white people own 90% of the arable land. Shouldn't be that shocking.

So capitalism doesn't solve problems?

I hope trump knows how to solve this.... or maybe not
