Sotomayor suggests Supreme Court won't 'survive the stench' of overturning Roe v. Wade

I don’t see how it is possible," she said, while questioning Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart.Sotomayor called Roe v. Wade a watershed decision that created an"entrenched set of expectations in our society, that this is what the court decided, this is what we will follow.

Sotomayor asked Stewart what the medical advancements have been since Casey, and he said"knowledge and concern about such things as fetal pain" prior to 24 weeks. "How is your interest anything but a religious view?" Sotomayor later asked."When does the life of a woman and putting her at risk enter the calculus?"

Forget about the court surviving. They are severely underestimating how deeply women feel about this issue. They will take to the streets.

I heard this and this disappointed me. The court has gone back and fixed things it has done wrong. Her statement is completely political which is wrong. Don’t get me wrong. Roe shouldn’t be over turned. But she made all of this completely political today. On purpose.

I’ve said it before, supreme court is political. There are very few people in this world that know and understand how to put duty before self.

The republican party won't either. But go ahead GOP shake that hornets nest.

Is it even worth salvaging without massive change? I mean it doesn’t represent America at all
