Sony says it can’t compete with Call of Duty.

had sold just 88.7 million copies.”Arguments like this aren’t uncommon when company lawyers are arguing with regulators about who should or shouldn’t be allowed to acquire who. But it’s an odd experience watching a business switch from marketing to roasting.. Here’s how my colleague Tom Warren described Microsoft’s arguments:, also includes parts where the company tries to, comically, make it look like it somehow sucks at gaming and it can’t compete.

, when it said that GIFs actually suck and young people hate them. “There are indications of an overall decline in GIF use,” Meta said, adding later that “marketplace commentary and user sentiment towards GIFs on social media shows that they have fallen out of fashion as a content form, with younger users in particular describing GIFs as ‘for boomers’ and ‘cringe.’” The

All Battlefield had to do was be themselves

I remember when Battlefield was mainstream & EA's Medal of Honor 'competed' with Call of Duty as 2nd fiddle. But then CoD went modern & Activision threw every possible resource to fill a bubble. Sony wants that bubble a little longer but is trying to make a replacement.

I lost interest when they started delving into real world wars. I was somewhat excited for 2042, and everyone hated on it. I played BF3 and BF4 so much.

Lol, rightfully so, Battlefield is a miss, still,I don't understand what they're fighting, if they have the money they should top Microsoft's bid.

Anything that Microsoft turns to SHIT!

True enough. The recent Battlefield games have been undeniably mediocre.

Sony shud behave well. Why throw a game under a running bus. Such infancy.

remake bf4 for consoles and it will be

go woke, go broke

Battlefield 2042 wouldn't have been that bad if they didn't replace the class system for specialists. EA likes to make money over making good games, but if their investors knew that consumers like good games they'd be making all the money, trends don't work for games.

Sony is making all kinds of friends these days.

After Battlefield 2042 the franchise needs to cancelled. By far the worst of all of them.

So to be clear… Sony is ruining their relationship with Activision, Microsoft (they have an agreement to use Azure cloud), and now… EA. Probably not the best course of action from Sony here.

Does EA has no say in this?

Sony doing whatever they can to block this purchase lmao

I see where the argument makes sense, but more importantly I'm just happy to see any reason to fight the purchase. MS is big enough. Activision is big enough. EA is big enough, too.

Seriously, Good games suffer when studios fight for petty reasons!

battlefield needs a solid campaign. multiplayer alone is a death sentence.

Sony are utterly pathetic, after 2042 EA/DICE deserve to be shit listed though.

Why is Sony in the conversation at all? There’s not competitors to Last of Us or God of War or Spider-Man on Xbox. Who cares if COD is only on Xbox in the future? Sony is acting like a spoiled younger sibling who is watching the oldest get a cool Christmas present

Two completely different styles of FPS, Sony is just being disingenuous

Just like everyone else it seems. However, BF 2042 is fantastic.

Battlefield gotta be one of best adaptations of World War games!! The soundtrack was chilling!!
