Son of country music legend battling life-threatening issue. Here’s what we know

The late country music legend's son, Ernest Ray Lynn, is currently fighting for his life after a critical operation.Ernie Lynn, the son of late country music legend Loretta Lynn, started 2024 on a bad foot as he had to be rushed to a hospital back in January as he battles kidney failure.

His wife, Crystal Lynn, announced on Facebook that he was back in the hospital and was undergoing a couple of procedures as doctors tried to figure out what was causing his latest issues. And, at the time, she said it was a very scary situation. “We’ve seen marked improvement in him in the past 24 hours so I think that we are finally headed in the right direction,” she wrote. “We appreciate all of your concern and continued prayers for complete healing. Thank you all … God bless.”“More issues have presented themselves, and although ‘pretty routine’ for doctors, it’s very scary for us,” she wrote then. “We only have one Ernie …. One husband … One dad … One uncle … One Pop-Pop.”“We CAN’T lose him …” she wrote.
