Two weeks ago, investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say Osborne was shot during a training exercise at the Ohio Corrections Training Academy.
According to a heavily redacted report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Osborne received medical care from his fellow trainees, who then rushed him to a hospital in a personal vehicle, but he did not survive."Rodney was a good man," Mitchell said. "Something's not right."had been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Mitchell says the family has a lot of unanswered questions, too, like who fired the gun? She says the lack of transparency concerns her and their family. Mitchell says her fight for clear information won't stop. She plans to remember her brother's life as she works to find out exactly what led to his death.Governor Mike Dewine weighed in on the case Tuesday as well. He says he plans to pay close attention to the Ohio State Highway Patrol's investigation to determine if there's more to be done.
