Two charitable foundations connected to some members of the Sackler family, owners of OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma, will suspend their giving around the world

Certain members of the Sackler family, which owns prescription opioid maker Purdue Pharma LP, are suspending new charitable donations around the world as some recipients of the family’s philanthropy reconsider ties.

The London-based Sackler Trust and the Dr. Mortimer and Theresa Sackler Foundation, which are overseen by some family members, said Monday they will pause making donations.
