And while that film starred Jyn Erso, who has no reason to appear on the show, it seems other Rogue One characters will be heading to Andor season 2.
Andor season 2 will end its very long break between seasons some time in 2025, which would be 2.5-3 years between seasons, long for even the streaming era. But there are new reports that Rogue One characters are coming, including one of its best.“I can tell you, Rogue One is coming, so there will be characters there that you will recognize. There will be cool stuff. For those who love Rogue One, this season is going to be very special.
Rogue One spoilers ahead but Krennic, like Cassian Andor himself, is killed in the giant explosion at the end of the movie, the final sequence that nukes the vast majority of the cast, a bleak ending for arguably the best film in the Disney era. And its prequel is certainly the best show. But it means that no, we will not see any sudden deaths of major characters like Krennic should he show up, and it’s not clear what the extent of his role might be.
Mendhelson is coming off a surprisingly short appearance in another Disney Plus series, Secret Invasion, the extremely poorly received series where he reprised his Captain Marvel role of the Skrull Talos before being killed midway through the series.
