The solar eclipse is set to take place in PA on Monday between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. However, the is right around the time that students are dismissed

PDE Deputy Secretary, Carrie Rowe, said they wanted to give schools the option based on what they felt would be safest for their students. “Perhaps the students would wear the glasses on the bus, but what about the bus driver? And we have to think about that person’s safety as well,” Rowe said.Assistant to the Superintendent, Dr. Portia Slaughter said the on Monday, the high school will let out at 11:45 a.m.; the middle school will let out at 12:30 p.m.; and the elementary schools will let out at 12:50 p.m.
