While the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade disappointed a majority of Californians, others are celebrating and hope for further restrictions.

SUNNYVALE -- Members of Silicon Valley Reformed Baptist Church celebrated after learning the U.S. Supreme Court had overturned Roe. vs. Wade on Friday. They were joined by other religious communities around the Bay Area who hope one day to ban abortions in California.

While anti-abortion-rights advocates have long hoped for the Roe v. Wade to be overturned as a first step toward ending abortions in the United States, they were still surprised by Friday's decision. Ihrig and others say they are committed to making the change they want to see happen in California but they understand that protections here go beyond many other states. They also know that an effort to create a state constitutional amendment could go before the voters this fall.

Domingo says they will take the same approach as we enter a new era in the debate over abortion rights.

The Supreme Court Will Pay for Overturning RoeThe court’s approval rating was at 25 percent before the Dobbs ruling. I hope that’s not a threat I can't read the entire article, but I was curious how approval ratings even affect the Supreme Court. The justices are not elected. Anyone care to explain? Slate is a hate rag.

Watch: Ask a Reporter conversations on the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe vs. WadeBeyond Roe vs. Wade: The Times hosted a series of conversations from the newsroom about the Supreme Court decision. Watch them now. Why do democrats believe that mostly poor minority mothers aborting their unborn babies during those babies’ most vulnerable nine months of life is some sort of progressive value? Ask a LAT's reporter/editor about why they're not covering the violence in the LA protests/riots? For this: .. all the LAT's gives its readers is: 'One person was arrested after people threw fireworks and other objects at police officers...'
