A new study delves into the complex demographics behind people’s behavior during the coronavirus pandemic.

The size of a person’s bank account might predict just how often they’ll be washing their hands, wearing a mask or running out to do errands during the coronavirus pandemic. That’s according to a study released Monday that delves into the demographics of people’s behavior during the coronavirus pandemic.

• For example, the same person in the top-earning segment was 12.4% more likely to socially distance themselves than someone making $63,572. At the same time, people in both income bands said they were wearing masks and increasingly washing their hands at the same rate. Another wrinkle in the behavior of the mask-wearing public: Black poll participants were 13% more likely to wear masks than white poll participants, the study said. Other research has found that African Americans with coronavirus are more likely to be hospitalized and die than Caucasians, and African Americans are more likely to have a family member or close friend who has died from the virus. That may give them pause before leaving home without a mask.

I only wear a mask because my work gives me one every day. I rarely wear a mask when I go out to eat or to a grocery store. It has nothing to do with the amount of $ I make. But I do wash my hands a lot.

Yeah and stores with higher income shoppers will reinforce it more such as whole foods and costco requiring masks whereas Sam's club and others dont

Ah someone gets paid to write this?

You’re behind the curve

Maybe some people aren’t buying the hype anymore. It’s contagious. Not deadly.

Liberals can protest, no covid concern, conservatives cant worship. We dont believe the media bullshit

In poor countries, it is impossible to be socially distant. In India even the leaders don't follow social distancing. But they use this time to impose sever lockdowns, discretionary permission for travel, police force to attach common people etc..

So, is it supposed to be racial or something? Around the south, pretty much no one is wearing a mask.

Where do they come up with all these “studies” they are doing ?

Not believing this because the people I know who are doing their part aren't in bracket.

For me, it's just that I don't like people.
