The two governments announced in a joint statement they were forming diplomatic ties “in keeping with the interests and desire of the two peoples.” Taiwan and China split in 1949 after the Communist Party won a civil war on the mainland. They have extensive commercial ties but no official relations.
So all that blood to save the Solomon Islands in WWII for them to forget & chum up w/China. Never forget.
We should end the farce. China is causing turmoil in South America and Cuba. Fully support Taiwan and tell China FU. Look at their trade behavior. This is a dirty regime. Stop acting like it is anything other than communist.
