Southern California will see one more day of mild and moderately warm temperatures Tuesday before summer-like weather moves in.

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Tuesday will be sunny amid a high of 75. Temperatures then skyrocket to the low 90s Wednesday, the start of a heat wave that is expected to last through Friday.

The valleys and Inland Empire will see a warm 85 degrees Tuesday, but temperatures Wednesday will be in the mid-90s and could reach triple digits by Thursday. The region will have to wait until Saturday for temperatures to cool down. Beaches will reach a high of 68 Tuesday. The rest of the weekday is shaping up to be pleasant beach weather, with temperatures in the 80s and sunshine on tap.

Mountain areas are expected to see pleasant conditions for the remainder of the week. Tuesday will be just below 70s degrees amid sunshine, and similar conditions are on tap for the next few days. Deserts will be gusty amid a high of 82 degrees Tuesday. Strong gusts remain in the region Wednesday, with temperatures increasing to 87.
