It’s a pretty obvious twist, really. And the movie is awfully blunt about delivering it. All the realization comes in exactly one scene, a bizarre and spooky onslaught of facts that Kate accepts very readily. Most of us would probably have amore of a freak-out were we to find out that we’d been falling in love with the ghost of our heart donor, but not Kate. She processes it and moves on, because the movie must itself move on to a warming conclusion.
So, congratulations to the many, many people who already figured this out. You were right! Except about one thing: Henry’s outfits do actually change slightly from scene to scene. His lovely camel-colored wool coat is the only constant. It would seem that even restless spirits handsomely haunting their organ recipients get to take a few different outfits with them into the afterlife.
