Germosen stamped a complete-game shutout for the No. 13 Green Knights, scattering just two hits to end the Ironmen’s four-game win streak over his team. Germosen, who has 47 punch-outs this spring in 38 innings, only had three through his first six frames on Saturday. He did well pitching to contact against one of New Jersey’s toughest lineups, but dialed it up in the 7th.Sophomore slugger Ryan McCabe had yet another clutch performance at the dish for the Green Knights. The SJR first baseman wasted no time to get his club a run. In the top of the 1st, he smacked a double to right-center field, scoring Brady Knuckles for the early lead.
The Green Knights showcased a few slick plays on defense, too. Shortstop Tommy Manzo flashed the leather by moving swiftly to his left and right, making a few jaw-dropping plays.
