The new single, however, sold about 35,000 more copies than the girl group’s previous single, which sold 158,931 copies in its first week, indicating the expansion of the group’s core fanbase.
Gen Hoshino bows at No. 7 on the Japan Hot 100 with “Souzou,” his collaboration with the Nintendo Super Mario Brothers 35th anniversary campaign. The song packed with love and respect for the legendary franchise rules downloads with 45,557 first-week units and also tops radio airplay, while coming in at No. 8 for Twitter, No. 14 for video with 1,208,435 views, and No. 38 for streaming with 2,938,176 streams.
