Broadway San Diego will present 'Moulin Rouge,' 'Some Like It Hot,' 'Back to the Future,' 'Kimberly Akimbo,' 'A Beautiful Noise' and 'Shucked,' plus the return of 'Wicked,' in its 47th season, which opens in October

San Diego theater fans who haven't been back to New York to catch the latest Broadway shows since the pandemic ended can unpack their bags. For its 47th season kicking off in October, Broadway San Diego is bringing six of the Great White Way's newest and most-acclaimed musicals here.

'Some Like It Hot' — Inspired by the 1959 Marilyn Monroe-Tony Curtis movie famously filmed at the Hotel Del Coronado, this 2022 musical adaptation features a score by the 'Hairspray' composing team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and book by Matthew López and Amber Ruffin.
