Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick's staff has listed the manner of death as a homicide, but that does not necessarily mean that charges will follow.

Chardo said Tuesday that broader investigation is still progressing, though he was able to say investigators have confirmed that the shooter in Sunday’s case was legally permitted to possess a handgun. One witness — one of several people who was leaving a dinner at St. Patrick Cathedral when the 5:30 p.m. shooting occurred — told PennLive Paul Kattouf got out of his vehicle to confront the occupants of a black Chevrolet sedan on State Street, between Second and Third streets.

He was riding at the time in a car being driven by his wife, with a second, child passenger, Chardo said.
