The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that Weaver is in negotiations to join the Mandalorian & Grogu cast. The three-time Oscar nominee hasn't closed her deal to star in the Star Wars universe, nor has any character details been revealed for her potential role at the time of writing. The movie is currently set for a May 22, 2026 release, with filming expected to begin this June.
