The lengthy heatwave hitting Siberia that saw a record-breaking high of 100.4 degrees last month would not have happened without climate change, according to an international team of scientists.

. A 44-day extreme heat event in Russia in 2010 resulted in 56,000 deaths.

"As emissions continue to rise we need to think about building resilience to extreme heat all over the world, even in Arctic communities — which would have seemed nonsensical not very long ago," he added."We are starting to experience extreme events which would have almost no chance of happening without human footprint on the climate system," said Sonia Seneviratne, a climate scientist with the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science of the ETH Zurich.

Yet trump says no climate change nor need to have a plan

I hate to quibble, but I get annoyed with the undue implied precision when converting to the archaic US system of units. It's not 100.4 (+/- 0.05) F, it's 38 (+/- 0.5) C (or +/- 0.9F). That's how we got 'normal' body temperature of 98.6F instead of 37C.

What a f*****g joke!

In Trump Logic...

Climate change 🤣🤣🤣

So, the earth's climate continues to change like it has for billions of years?

It also wouldn't have happened if it was winter time! Huh hot weather in the summer, never heard of that! Being a hundred for one day does not mean its climate change!
