An accused female shoplifter left Walmart at 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 15 before police officers arrived, but she left her passport behind.

Police identified the woman easily as she left her passport in the store security office. She called the police department shortly after the incident and agreed to turn herself in after driving her children home. She was charged with petty theft by shoplifting.An officer at 5:41 p.m. Oct. 11 responded to Canterbury Road in response to a report of a vehicle in a ditch with a possibly intoxicated driver.

The officer attempted to perform field sobriety tests but discovered the man was unable to stand on his own, according to the police report. The officer then arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to control. He refused to take an alcohol breath test.A Walmart asset protection associate at about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 stopped a woman suspected of failing to properly scan items at a self-checkout register.

As the woman attempted to leave the store, the employee stopped the suspect and called the police department. An officer searched the woman and her purse while arresting her and discovered a glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue in a pants pocket. In addition, he found four more glass pipes with suspected marijuana residue in her purse along with more than a dozen loose pills. Most of the pills, 10.
