Sato, who is a teacher in Japan, adopted Kabosu in 2008 when she was sent to an animal shelter after a puppy mill shut down, according toKabosu went viral in 2010 when a photo of her with her paws crossed and a slight smirk was posted to Sato's blog.The parody cryptocurrency known as "dogecoin" was released in 2013 with Kabosu's face on it.she didn't know about the cryptocurrency until her blog's followers informed her of its success.
