The No. 18 Cougars won their fourth straight game with a blowout 94-68 victory over the University of the Pacific Tigers on Saturday afternoon at the Marriott Center.

Shaylee Gonzales shoots a free throw during her freshman year at BYU. She nearly got a triple double on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, when the Cougars beat Pacific. The win brought BYU to a 12-1 overall record and 2-0 in the West Coast Conference.

Sophomore guard Shaylee Gonzales played an all-around game and nearly recorded a triple-double. She had 22 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Senior guard Tegan Graham scored 15 points, all of which came from the 3-point line. Senior guard Paisley Harding had 14, and sophomore forward Lauren Gustin added 12.

The Cougars went on a 21-0 run in the first quarter and never looked back. Their biggest lead was 32.BYU’s next matchup is at home on Thursday against Saint Mary’s.
