Shadow docket Supreme Court decisions could affect millions

The court voted 5-4 to deny an emergency appeal from abortion providers and others that sought to block enforcement of the law that went into effect Wednesday, Sept. 1.

But that pattern has changed in recent years with decisions coming outside the court’s normal procedures. That has been especially true in the past two weeks. Since Aug. 24, that truncated process known as the shadow docket has moved at astronomical speed, producing decisions related to immigration, COVID-19 and evictions and, most recently, abortion.

And that is the reason to vote a STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC from now on. No more Mr. Nice Guy....

Reading the comments on this post illustrates the lack of knowledge Americans (or, should I say unhappy Democrats) have with one of the most revered legal institutions in the world.

This what happens when extremists scream 'WE NEED A CONSERVATIVE SUPREME COURT!' or 'WE NEED A LIBERAL SUPREME COURT!!' It will bite you in the ass. And that's what happened. We need a bipartisan Supreme Court. So they can argue laws civilly and rationally and not one sided

the political body of SCOTUS needs a humanistic injection against the sophistry of what they call interpretation of the constitution. It needs an expansion elected 'by the People for the People'

The best Supreme Court money can buy, and it didn’t buy quality, should rename the shadow docket and call it the coward docket.

Worse government branch?

The Supreme Court needs to be transparent to the American people about the massive decisions being made by the court. Shadow docket decisions like this would have our founding fathers rolling over in their graves.
