There are more than 40,000 vacant homes in SF, report saysSan Francisco saw the number of vacant housing units go from about 33,300 in 2015 to 40,458 in 2019. 2019 Unhoused number in SF: 8,000. If SF has ONE SINGLE vacant housing unit, it means that unit is overpriced, or it is a TIC (or similar) being withheld from the market by some would-be debutant real estate speculator. Sad.
