President Trump’s latest pick to be secretary of the Navy appeared before senators Thursday for a confirmation hearing, where he was expected to face questions over handling of coronavirus outbreaks and the removal of an aircraft-carrier commander.
If confirmed after the hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Kenneth Braithwaite, 60, the U.S. ambassador to Norway, would become the fourth Navy secretary in less than six months.
