Senate advances bill to make daylight saving time permanent, end 'falling back' foreverNow that Americans have set their clocks to 'spring forward' one hour, some lawmakers are hoping that the country will never have to switch back to standard time ever again. Standard time is the real original time. It should stay that way. Can't agree more. Stop this time switching non-sense. If anything we should have permanent standard time like Hawaii and Arizona. A 8-9 sunrise during winter is a terrible idea. It will be even worse in the pacific northwest and upper Midwest/northeast . Extremely short sighted by lazy people who don’t want to change clocks.
