Senate Democrats press Postal Service on delivery complaints

“Recent concerns raised by constituents and postal workers have brought to light questionable changes under your leadership now taking place in post offices and processing centers across the nation that may negatively impact mail delivery,” the senators wrote DeJoy who took office in June. “It is essential that the Postal Service not slow down mail or in any way compromise service.”

The senators cited Postal Service documents that discussed limiting carrier trips from processing centers to deliver mail and eliminating overtime and other cost-cutting measures.

Democrats need to repeal that completely inane pension regulation come January (hopefully) and allow USPS to raise prices as needed. Otherwise, stop pretending it needs to be a profit driven business and make it a true government agency. Current situation is insane.

They’re the only ones that don’t confiscate your drugs in the mail. UPS, DHL, and FedEx can pop your packages without a warrant. Leave the USPS ALONE.

This delay has been happening since March. So there's a big ass delay finally addressing this three months before an election. Get the Led Out!

I hope they figure out what happened to all the letters that I sent to my friends and family that straight up disappeared... I also routinely have to walk around my culdesac delivering mail because the postman here is too lazy to stop at every house. The USPS is a joke!
