U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. Senate will likely open hearings on his third Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, on Oct. 12 and he expected a full Senate vote before the Nov. 3 election.

U.S President Donald Trump arrives to hold an event to announce his nominee of U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on September 18, at the White House in Washington, U.S., September 26, 2020. The hearings are part of an accelerated timeline as the Republican-controlled Senate seeks to vote on Trump’s nominee before the election, and cement a 6-3 conservative majority on the court. Trump has repeatedly and without evidence said that voting by mail, a longstanding feature of American politics, could lead to a surge in election fraud. He also has refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election.

But the start date allows senators far less time than usual to get ready. The last six court nominees have waited about eight weeks for their hearings, the judiciary committee’s top Democrat, Senator Dianne Feinstein, said this week. She said this amount of time was needed for senators to adequately prepare.

'TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT'

It's becoming increasingly difficult for Trump to hide his appearance. His head is down, he appears disconnected, his left leg is turned inward, his arms limp.

She must be in line.

Shes only been a judge for 3 years - another Trump appointee - how does that qualify her for the SC?

Trump, by replacing RBC's seat with a female, knows that democrats can not treat her like a men and the process will impact the elections. Like putting bait on a hook and the only way to remove the bait is to ignore and not participate in any confirmation.

America judicary. World − class judicary is tested.

This woman shows she is unfit for the Supreme Court by playing along with this breach of constitutional democracy and the will of the people. A hypocrite on the SCOTUS from day one. She should refuse.
