Senate Democrats advanced a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package Thursday after making a series of adjustments to the legislation, with approval in the chamber expected within days

that allows them to approve the legislation with a simple majority in the Senate, aiming to approve the legislation before forms of federal unemployment aid expire on March 14. Reconciliation also creates the time-consuming amendment process that could push approval of the bill into the weekend.last week, Democrats in the Senate are making a number of changes to it.

Senators narrowed the group of Americans who will receive direct payments following a push from a group of centrist Democrats. Individuals who make less than $75,000 and married couples making less than $150,000 will still receive the full $1,400 payment, but the size of the payment will shrink more quickly for people with higher incomes.

Other measures in the bill that some Democrats had sought to change, including a $400 weekly jobless aid supplement, are expected to stay the same as they were in the House legislation.

Biden’s Covid aid bill advances in SenateSenate Democrats muscled through the votes to begin consideration of President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill this afternoon, putting the party on course to clinch a new stimulus law well before its official March 14 deadline. Conservatives are generally quite selfish people. My rights, my money, etc. Trump, being the incredibly selfish person that he also is, seized on this aspect of conservatives and capitalized on it. This may not be what they want to hear, but it is something they need to hear.🔁 Well before? That deadline is only 10 days away. As republicans fight to keep Americans dying from COVID-19, like they're FAILED LEADER Trump. & fight to keep Americans poor as 1776 Americans. They need to check Biden's job approval. & the support for his American Rescue Package. They are against the people, workers, & voters.
