Legislation introduced by Romney, along with Utah Reps. Chris Stewart and Burgess Owens, would call on the Army Corps of Engineers to research ways to save the ailing Great Salt lake.

legislation last week that would authorize the Army Corps of Engineers“This is not just a matter of taking our three-minute showers down to one minute. This is going to require something far more substantial than modest adjustments,” Romney said. “... That’s something which these studies will help us understand both at the state and federal level.”for the second time in less than a year, and is likely to keep receding until cooler weather arrives to the valley.

Romney said if the Army Corps of Engineers does take on the project, he’s “expecting recommendations to come out within the next calendar year.”, D-Ore., that would have required the U.S. Geological Survey to monitor saline lakes in the Great Basin, including the Great Salt Lake. The bill never made it out of committee.

Stewart and Owens 'fixing' stuff 😂😂😂 You can kiss that lake goodbye if those traitors are involved

I think the water level of Great Salt Lake started making news last year. How many more years will the government waste “talking about it” instead of doing something about it?

Bring in the lottery

Problem solved.

MUCH better choice than our local lawmakers...who are denser than potatoes

They need to stop inland port.

Maybe they should install some pumps

Wait…all those individuals want less Government involvement, not more.

The challenge is leadership, not funding. How are leaders going to join forces to persuade people with water rights to accept new constraints?

How about no inland port?

Wish we could find billions somewhere.

They all voted AGAINST legislation that would help the climate.

Now they want socialist funds?

pipe lines from the north. snake river, hood/Columbia rivers all dump into the pacific. fill western reservoirs/ lakes.

Use less water?

Put the money the state makes on alcohol toward it. That money is subtracted from the economy anyway. May as well do some good with it.

I'm not the expert but is it possible that we have waited way to long to think about or do anything about it. The problem did not just start. Would of been less money yrs ago when the lake level was falling then.

Galaxxini Fight climate change!

Build the pipeline from the pacific ocean to fill it union jobs and lots of money to help the economy

Expand the western aqueduct from Strawberry Reservoir 10x! It's 8ft now, just bump it up to 25ft! 😉 yeah, Strawberry will look like Lake Mead....

You know, weed legalization could pay for a lot of things.

Golly gee Mitters... seems like maybe if you had been a proponent of tackling climate change maybe your lil' lake wouldn't be as bad off as it is. Pray harder!!!!!

stopwateringlawns give a tax rebate to anyone who tears out their lawn and xeriscapes. Problem solved

Legalize weed, Mittens. Or we’ll tax your “church.”

Give us sports gambling to pay for it.
