Just a reminder, the push to create islands is for property investors who want to build island gated communities. It has zero to do with water solutions, conservation or anything else. The article is contradictory. He says the dredging will increase algae bloom, but supports carp removal. The article he cites states carp are a huge factor in releasing the sediments in the water reducing algae bloom. Removing carp, dredging, both will result in more algae.
