Second gentleman Doug Emhoff decried an “epidemic of hate” facing the United States as he convened a roundtable at the White House on rising antisemitism on Wednesday. “Let me be clear: Words matter,” Emhoff said.

“I will not remain silent,” he said. “I am proud to be Jewish. I’m proud to live openly as a Jew. I am not afraid. I refuse to be afraid.”“On days like today, I think back to Ellis Island,” he said. “I think about my family members, and I think of the promise of America. That a young boy from Brooklyn — whose family fled persecution — could be sitting here today as the first second gentleman of the United States in the White House.

On Friday, in a tweet seemingly directed in part at Trump, who has not disavowed his dinner guests, President Biden : “The Holocaust happened. Hitler was a demonic figure. And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should be calling out and rejecting antisemitism wherever it hides. Silence is complicity.”Ye’s Twitter account after he shared an image of a swastika combined with the Star of David.

The gathering also included 13 Jewish groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Congress and Jewish on Campus. “President Biden, Vice President Harris have met Holocaust survivors. I’ve kept in touch with the survivors. I’ve shared messages of hope and strength. For me today, this is not the end of the conversation, it’s just the beginning of the conversation,” Emhoff said.

Antisemitism and white privilege share the same idiotic logic. As long as one exists so will the other

People that have something anti-semitic to say about Jewish people they must not know no Jewish people my experience with them has been nothing but positive

I am a black man. my interaction with Jewish people has only been positive. They went out of their way show me hospitality in their multi million dollar house and they knew I was a poor man, they treated me better than most black people I know.

Word s like , Embassy In Jerusalem? Peace Treaty between Israel and Arab States?

Sticks and stones…. Change the channel. Words matter only to those who are too soft. Creating a nation of mindless sheep dependent on the government like a baby on a mother’s milk… or some substitute. Adults are not babies

Hire some journalists!

Government and media created it, but you will take zero responsibility. Both sides are guilty but you will read these comments and it will be finger pointing, you reap what you sow.

Weird, why hasn't Doug Emhoff (or any Biden admin) ever had any roundtable talk about hatred of white people as a whole being PUSHED in the news? Seems they only care when it's the Jewish subsection of whiteness under attack 🤔

Antisemitism is one of the darkest stains on western civilization. It should never have existed, and it should never be tolerated. Shame on the Republican Party.

The root causes should be analysed...

And yet Ilhan Omar is still in office.

I blame the Washington Post and other legacy media outlets

Finally they found something to do with the cuck.

...just anti-Semitism? ...what about the OTHER hates going around?
